Description

What’s new in ACDSee Photo Studio for Mac 9

Face detection & facial recognition
Never lose a face to the crowd again
Organizing has never been easier. ACDSee Photo Studio for Mac 9 delivers a new Face Detection & Facial Recognition tool, fueled by Artificial Intelligence, which finds the faces in your photographs and allows you to name them with ease and expediency. The software will immediately learn which names to put to which faces and suggest possible matches. Take advantage of the new People Manager to merge, rename, or remove people. Save time and energy when migrating from Lightroom™ or Picasa™ by importing your face data directly into ACDSee Photo Studio. Eliminate hours of tedious manual searching, and keep photos distinguished by friends, family, and anyone in between!

Develop presets, history, & snapshots pane
Capture your creative process, in real-time
Find Develop Presets, edit History, and image Snapshots in a new and convenient right-hand side pane within Develop mode.

Develop Presets
Take advantage of easily accessible Presets and apply a variety of adjustments designed to make your landscape shots more epic, portrait photography more striking, and an array of other enhancements in a single click. The addition of over 50 new Develop presets – like Moonlit and Summer – will help you find your signature style; or you can create and save your own Develop presets, accessing them right from the Presets pane itself!

History
It can be easy to lose track of your edits after you’ve applied them, especially with the many exceptional post-processing options that ACDSee offers. With the History pane, you can view a list of each step you took in Develop mode to reach your image’s current edited state. Keep an eye on each adjustment you made or click on a specific edit and take the image right back to that step. With History, you’ll have a complete view of your photo’s editing journey, from start to finish.

Snapshots
The possibilities are endless when it comes to editing your images. Use Snapshots to save sets of modifications that can be applied to the image at any time. Save multiple Snapshots and experiment with different looks by easily switching between your Snapshots in real-time to find the perfect photo.

New features & improvements

Filter Keyword & Category Lists
Narrow down your long keyword and category lists quickly and easily by Starts with or Contain All. You now also have the option to expand or collapse all keyword and category lists in Manage mode.

Info Palette and Histogram Pane in Manage Mode
Use the Info Palette to easily view important information about your image such as exposure, dimensions, and file size. Get a graphical perspective of the distribution of light in your images with the new Histogram pane.

Improved View Mode
New to View mode is the “Show Original” button, used to quickly preview what your image looked like pre-processing and get a better sense of what adjustments you’ve made. Also new to View mode, you can now preview image Snapshots you took in Develop mode, as well as access a handy Info Palette that has been added to the Filmstrip pane.

SendPix integration
Use SendPix, integrated into Photo Studio, to send your photos to friends and family. ACDSee will automatically convert your RAW images to JPEG so everyone can view them everywhere. Use the web, desktop, or mobile applications to easily access your images wherever you need them.

Improved HEIC support
In addition to viewing HEIC files, you can now save files in the HEIC file format to allow for more compression and better image quality than JPG. ACDSee also now writes all metadata (EXIF, IPTC, ACDSee) directly to HEIC files rather than using an XMP sidecar file.

Metadata removal
Easily remove EXIF, IPTC and ACDSee metadata from your images with the click of a button in Manage mode.

Improved video thumbnails
A single frame can only show so much. Get a better glimpse of your video with 4-frame preview thumbnails.

New Slideshow Transitions
Show off your images using fun new Slideshow transitions such as Water Drop, Crosswarp, or Dreamy.
